The Women’s Craft Fermentation Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 2021 and hosts the annual WIBS Craft Fermentation Summit.

Below is the core group that makes up the WCFA board currently. Melissa, Michele, Crystal and Vickie are the founding members. We are always on the lookout for passionate and eager folks to help make us better, reach out if you are interested!

Melissa McCann | Executive Director | melissa.wcfa@gmail.com

Melissa McCann is the founder of the Women's International Beer Summit and the former Director of Queen of Beer, the oldest all-female homebrew competition in the United States. She is a BJCP Certified Beer Judge and has been involved in the beer community for several years organizing, volunteering, and managing beer events. Melissa is a world traveler in search of new adventures, excellent hand-crafted beverages, as well as meeting the crafters, and the story behind those beverages. Melissa makes her home (when she manages to be home) near Sacramento, California. In April 2022 Melissa was elected to the Homebrewer Association's Governing Committee.

Michele Wonder is a self proclaimed beer/fermentation geek. She is an award winning homebrewer, BJCP Certified beer judge, Certified Cicerone® and a home winemaker. She is the founder of the BIB Homebrew PDX Brewing Project and is a fledgling blogger at seesmelltastebeer.com. Professionally Michele works for Perfect Pour Services in Portland, OR as a draft technician, social media manager and web designer. In her spare time she loves to hike with her wife & dogs and is currently learning a second language, Korean!

Amanda Camp | Marketing Director | amanda.wcfa@gmail.com

Amanda Camp is a freelance Marketing/PR/Communications/Events expert specializing in the non-profit and craft beer industries. Coming from an educational background of relationship theory and social work, Amanda believes in a people-first approach in all that she does. She has a particular passion for learning, leading her to earn the title of Certified Cicerone®, and believes in giving back, serving on the DEIJ committee for Pink Boots Society, as the Scholarship Liaison for Pink Boots Society- St Louis, and as the volunteer Marketing Director for the Women’s Craft Fermentation Alliance, among others. In her spare time, she enjoys eating tacos, watching hockey, and petting animals.

Crystal Gupta | Technology Director | crystal.wcfa@gmail.com

Crystal Gupta came to the WCFA & WIBS by way of the SheBrew Festival and homebrew competition in Portland OR. Engineer by day and tech wizard by night, Crystal keeps WIBS on track and as an all digital online summit, her role is mighty!
