WIBS ’23 & the WCFA are dedicated to a friendly, harassment-free existence for our team as well as all attendees, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, vendors, volunteers and extra staff, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body type, race or religion.

 

Our expectation is for ALL forms of communication (spoken, written, imagery, etc) to be appropriate and inclusive for all audiences including people of diverse backgrounds, sexual orientations and cultures, and for everyone to follow and respect the rules/regulations of our chosen platforms.


UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR included but not limited to:

  • Use of language meant to harass, intimidate, discriminate, degrade, or demean.
  • Use of hurtful verbal or written comments or images.
  • Inappropriate disruption of meetings or events.
  • Photographing or recording of slides or presentations without formal permission.
  • Violating the rules and regulations of our chosen online platforms.
  •  


CONSEQUENCES:

  • Any reports will be treated with respect and anonymity for the reporter.
  • Once a report is received, the team will determine if a participant needs to be removed immediately or contacted to discuss the matter, and the moderators of the event will be notified of the concern.
  • Our moderators have the right to remove a participant from our virtual event for inappropriate behavior at any time as well as to ban a participant from re-entering the event.
  • Our staff will follow up with that participant after the event.
  • Further, our moderators will contact our team with any concerning behavior for immediate follow-up.
